The Clonakilty Chamber of Commerce was established on the 1st January 2011
following the amalgamation of Clonakilty Business Association and
Clonakilty Chamber of Tourism. It also incorporates two new groups,
the Industry group and the Professional and Service group into the
organisation. The overriding goal of Clonakilty Chamber of Commerce is
to make Clonakilty and the surrounding area a better place for
business and to promote Clonakilty to the wider world.
The Chamber welcomes new members who wish to be part of an
organisation dedicated to improving the business environment in our
community. A positive business environment for the Clonakilty District
is essential to maintain and improve the quality of life we all enjoy
by being a part of this great community.
The Chamber is the advocate of Clonakilty District’s business and tourism community. It is a not for profit body managed by a volunteer Board of Directors and established with the sole aim to promote business in Clonakilty and to promote Clonakilty both as a location for business and as a tourist destination.
The Chamber will bring new members together with other business owners as an organised group and provide them with a strong voice in dealing with community partners and government to represent their interests as a local business. By becoming actively involved members can have a direct influence on what should be said or done on behalf of their business.
A Chamber of Commerce is the internationally recognised
organisation for business. By becoming members, new businesses will
form part of an organisation devoted to promoting Clonakilty District
as a centre of commercial enterprise and as a unique tourism
destination to the wider world.
