August Networking Event


Clonakilty Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that our next Networking event will take place next Thursday, 16th August at 9am at the Celtic Ross Hotel, Rosscarbery. 

Guest speaker Neil O’ Brien of Quantum Business Solutions will be providing a short presentation on how local businesses can increase their sales and profits. Our turnouts for past events have been high, but we would encourage all members / sectors and non members to continue to attend and support these events. Anyone who may be interesting in joining Clonakilty Chamber is also welcome and encouraged to come along to find out what is involved, meet some of our members and learn more about what we do.

Neil qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant (C.I.M.A.) in 1990 and has over 15 years experience working as a Management Accountant. During that period he worked for companies such as Pfizer and EMC.
Sales & MarketingIn 2003 Neil bought a Global Business Coaching franchise and has worked with numerous shops, restaurants etc. since then.

Retail Development Programme

I’m delighted to inform you that we are running a new Retail Development Programme for the retailers of Clonakilty town. This new exciting programme will commence in September and run over a period of 3 months, with 4 full day training workshops as well as an individual store audit. 

James Burke who is one of Ireland’s leading retail consultants and advisors will deliver the programme on behalf of the West Cork Enterprise Board. The programme, aimed at owner/managers of independent retail outlets in Clonakilty town has an objective of giving retailers new tools which will help them grow sales during these challenging times.

The closing date for receipt of applications is Wednesday 22nd August

A screening process will take place after which places will be offered on the programme. There are limited places available. A fee of €100 will apply once places are allocated on the programme.
